Neptune Township
Neptune Township, covering nine square miles, is made up of several sections, each with its own unique personality. Named after Neptune, the Roman water god, the township boasts one of the only aquatic centers in the shore area, located at Neptune High School. Swim teams from across the state compete here and residents can buy passes to use the pool for recreation and exercise.
Neptune High School also has one of the state’s best track teams and the area’s only ROTC program, which is top notch. ROTC students march from the high school to Ocean Grove in the Memorial Day parade and take part in ceremonies honoring veterans at the monuments located at the entrance to Ocean Grove. The school is also the site of a state of the art performing arts center.
The Gables section is located next to the Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center, one of the area’s biggest employers.
Homes in the Shark River Hills section of the township overlook The Shark River where kayakers, boaters and fishermen enjoy life on the Shark River. The new Neptune Marina with its brass dome stands picturesque on the shoreline. Seaview Island, located just off the Belmar Marina, is home to a cluster of townhomes, marinas and the Shark River Beach and Yacht Club.

What To Love About Neptune Township
The Jumping Brook section is the site of Jumping Brook Country Club, Golf Course and adult community.
Neptune has several parks including the new Veteran’s Park on West Bangs Ave. where Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day services are held.
Hamilton/West Neptune residents enjoy a residential community close to Shark River Park, a 586-acre preserve featuring fishing, hiking, ice skating, cross country skiing, shuffleboard and more.
Sunset County Park is located in the center of the Gables section of town and has manicured soccer fields, a playground for children and a walking path where joggers and walkers can exercise in a peaceful setting.
