Belmar has consistently maintained its reputation of being a vibrant all-season resort town. Fiercely loyal, and generations deep, family owned businesses thrive and provide a diverse choice of restaurants, shops and nightlife. Originally named Ocean Beach, the town’s name was changed in 1869 to “Belmar” which is French for “beautiful sea”. Boating, fishing, water sports and beach fun are the magnets that draw people to Belmar year after year.

The Belmar Big Mohawk Party Boat offers New Jersey Fluke Fishing and New Jersey Blackfish Fishing trips, along with other varieties of fish. Captain Chris Hueth is known in the industry for his ability to catch Fluke and Blackfish. Services also provided are Private Charters and Burials at Sea.
