One of the greatest reasons to live in Monmouth County is because of the amazing variety of attractions and events that it offers! Being a life long Jersey resident has proven to offer a lifestyle that just never gets boring. Whether you love the ocean, farms or even villages – Monmouth County offers a little bit of everything for everyone!

Here are a few great activities that are taking place in various cities in Monmouth County, NJ in April 2014. We are including a few great ones for kids of all ages to enjoy!

1) April 5th – Open Shoot Archery

If archery has been on your list of things to try, but you have not had the chance, well now you have no excuse! Visit the Thompson Park Activity Barn and enjoy the opportunity to try your hand at archery to see if it something you may want to invest more time and money in. It is available to children 8 and up and has a nominal $7 fee to participate.

2) April 12th & 13th Turtle Feeding – yes really, and it is FREE!

The Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center, located in Howell NJ is a wonderful place for kids and adults. There are so many different programs that they offer for free or minimal costs that the whole family can enjoy. Learn about the residents of the reservoir, from frogs to turtles to snakes and more. For those that love nature – this is a park that is a must see!

Monmouth County Walnford Grist Mill3) April 19th & 20th – Mill Demonstration

Historic Walnford park is one of the prettiest parks around and features stunning landscape with activities that will take you back in time when life was simpler! During this weekend you can come visit us and see the budding flowers – fish by the creek or enjoy a picnic in our lush landscape. Our mill, which is loved by young and old, will be in full function so come on by and enjoy a day outside – but please, leave the technology home!
